Wind News: The Power Company of Wyoming, an affiliate of Denver-based Anschutz Corp., plans to construct the Chokecherry and Sierra Madre Wind Energy Project on about 154 square miles on Overland Trail Cattle Company lands in Wyoming. The $4-6 billion US project would include 1,000 turbines generating 2,000 - 3,000 MW. Anschutz Corporation’s investments include cattle ranching, publishing, sports, entertainment and energy development. (Source: Forbes, May 24, 2009)
