Following up on a project last identified in our April 22, 2009 edition, Petratherm and its JV partners, Beach Petroleum and TRUenergy Geothermal, have signed contracts for $7 million AUS ($5.6 million US) under the Australian Geothermal Drilling Program with the Commonwealth Government Department of Resources, Energy and Tourism. The grant was awarded to the project for drilling two deep wells involved at the Paralana geothermal site in the northern Flinders Ranges. (Source: Petratherm, June 15, 2009)
