HERO BX expands Biodiesel operations

Pennsylvania-based Lake Erie Biofuels LLC is changing its name to HERO BX. The company currently produces 45,000,000 gpy of biodiesel and plans to expand operations by adding feedstocks such as camelina oil and algae to its feedstock portfolio. HERO BX currently uses waste oil such as catfish oil and vegetable oil, and anticipates its use of camelina oil is two years away. (Source: Hero BX, September 9, 2009)
