Cape Wind has completed the state and local permitting process for its proposed 130-turbine offshore wind project and has received unanimous approval of a “Certificate of Environmental Impact and Public Interest” from the Massachusetts Energy Facility Siting Board. The company anticipates the federal permitting pr ocess will be completed soon when U.S. Secretary Ken Salazar issues a Record of Decision on Cape Wind. (Source: Cape Wind, May 21, 2009)
