Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PG&E) has signed a deal with California Bioenergy to purchase the GHG emission reductions from California Bioenergy’s livestock methane capture project on a dairy near Bakersfield in Kern County, California. Expected to be completed in 2010, the project will process manure from the dairy through covered lagoons to trap the methane gas. (Source: The Business Journal, June 3, 2009)
