Fort-Collins, Colorado-based Solix Biofuels, Inc. has completed its Series A funding with the participation of international investment group, Shanghai Alliance Investment Ltd. Solix will use the total $16.8 million US raised to complete construction and begin operations at its Coyote Gulch microalgae-based fuels demonstration facility, which is expected to be in full-scale commercial operation by late summer 2009.
