A report by Duke University – Wind Power: Generating Electricity and Employment- indicates that the U.S. wind industry will create new manufacturing opportunities within the value chain – materials, components, manufacture, logistics, operations, and end use. The report co-authors suggest many of the needed manufacturing capabilities could be transferred from industries such as the automotive sector and aerospace.
